PRIVACY POLICY / DATENSCHUTZERKLÄRUNG1. Who is responsible
The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Willi Zowalla, trading as KOSKI Gear
Wilhelm-Michel-Str. 10
04249 Leipzig, Germany
Email: [email protected]
Phone: +491728006086
I run KOSKI Gear alone. The details above are the same as in the legal notice.
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is built and hosted with Carrd, a service of Carrd Inc. (USA), which processes technical data on my behalf when you visit the site.
Your browser transmits data to the hosting servers: in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page you requested, and your browser type and operating system. This is technically necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure. I do not merge this data with other data.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is a working and secure website.
3. Cookies and analytics
This website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools and sets no cookies for such purposes.
If information has to be stored on or read from your device only to deliver the website you requested, this is permitted without consent under § 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). If I add analytics or other tools later, I will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
4. Contact by email
If you write to [email protected], I use your email address, your name if you give it, and your message to answer your request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract or a planned purchase, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in answering enquiries). The mailbox is provided by Spaceship (Spacemail) [add the provider's company name and server location after checking its privacy notice]. I delete your message once your request is dealt with and no legal retention duty applies.
5. Launch list (newsletter) with double opt-in
If you sign up for the launch list, I use your email address to tell you when KOSKI Gear products go on sale. The first batch is planned for March 2027.
5.1 Data and process. I process your email address. You first receive a confirmation email and are added to the list only after you click the link in it (double opt-in). To prove your consent, I store the time of your sign-up and your confirmation and the IP address used. If you do not confirm, you are not added to the list and receive no further emails.5.2 Legal basis and withdrawal. Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing before it.5.3 Email service provider. Emails are sent through Brevo [legal entity and address as stated in Brevo's privacy policy], which processes the data on my behalf on servers in the European Union. I have concluded a data processing agreement with Brevo.5.4 Measuring opens and clicks. [Delete this paragraph if you do not use tracking in Brevo.] Emails sent through Brevo can contain a tracking pixel and tracked links, so I can see whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. This takes place only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you give together with your sign-up and can withdraw at any time as described in 5.2.6. Recipients, processors and transfers to third countries
I pass personal data only to the service providers I need to run this website, and only as described here:
• Carrd Inc. (USA): website hosting.
• Brevo (France): sending the confirmation email and newsletters.
• Spaceship (Spacemail): my email mailbox.
Carrd Inc. is based in the USA, so personal data may be processed there. The transfer relies on [state the safeguard after checking Carrd's documentation: certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses]. Brevo processes data in the European Union. [Add the same information for Spaceship (Spacemail) if its servers are outside the EU or EEA.]
When the online shop opens, I will add the providers needed for orders, payment and shipping to this policy before they are used.
7. Storage duration
I store personal data only as long as needed for the purpose, or as long as the law requires.
• Server log files: as long as the hosting provider keeps them [check Carrd's retention period].
• Emails to me: until your request is dealt with, plus any legal retention period.
• Launch list: until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe, or until I end the list.
• After you unsubscribe: I may keep your address on a block list so you are not emailed again, and the proof of your consent for up to three years, the legal limitation period. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
